Information

Visa
You need a visa for this motorcycle trip. You can arrange this on arrival. Your passport must be still valid for at least 6 months upon your return.

Drivers license
For this motorcycle trip you need an international driver's license that you can obtain in your own country.

Luggage
The luggage goes on the back of the motorcycle. Make sure you don't take too much with you and don't take a large bag, but rather 2 small ones

Clothing
Only take the bare essentials with you. Quick-drying clothing is light and easy to wash on the go.

For motorcycle clothing, we recommend breathable clothing for this trip.

Please note that weather changes can occur, especially in the mountains, and it can cool down or rain. Always take 1 fleece sweater and rain gear with you. A raincoat can also be used to block the wind when it gets colder.

Tough journey
The ( unpaved ) routes are good to ride, but due to circumstances some parts can be a bit more difficult.

Mechanic
The local guide is also a mechanic and has tools with him.

Flexibility
CULTURE RIDES tries to manage the trip as best as possible, however, situations may arise where flexibility is expected from the participants. There may be engine trouble or the planned route may be temporarily unavailable due to construction work.

Traffic
Riding in Asia is different from riding in Western countries. You will be informed about this in detail in the briefing.

Money
You can use your debit card at most places we visit, but you must have unblocked your card in advance. In Kathmandu there are many Money changers.

Electricity
In Sri Lanka the mains voltage is 230 volts and you will need a travel plug.
