You arrives in Bali, the most touristic island in Indonesia. The largest religion here is Hinduism, and you see this everywhere through the many temples and ceremonies along the way.
Bali still has many authentic villages that we will visit.
Furthermore, the volcanic mountain Gunung Agung is a must to ride there.

The next island is Lombok. Here Islam is mainly the religion and you immediately notice this with the many mosques that call for prayers 5 times a day.
Lombok also has tourism, but it is clearly much less than in Bali. On Lombok there are many places for snorkeling. The south of Lombok has one of the most beautiful beaches in Indonesia, white beaches and azure blue ocean
Around the volcanic mountain Gunung Rinjani you can enjoy walking through rice fields and waterfalls.

Visa
You need a visa for this motorcycle trip. You can arrange this on arrival. Your passport must be still valid for at least 6 months upon your return.
Drivers license
For this motorcycle trip you need an international driver's license that you can obtain in your own country.
Luggage
The luggage goes on the back of the motorcycle. Our motorcycles for this tour all have waterproof side bags. If you take a small waterproof bag with you for the back of the motorcycle, you will have enough space. You can leave your regular suitcase at the first hotel, we will ensure that this suitcase is returned to the last hotel at the end of the tour.
Clothing
Experienced motorcyclists know better than anyone that wearing good clothing is important, so we also adhere to this during the tour you are going on. The requirement is to wear long trousers (motorcycle trousers) and a (motorcycle) mesh jacket, as well as sturdy motorcycle shoes or possibly high walking boots and summer gloves. It is best to bring your own helmet.
Please note that weather changes can occur, especially in the mountains, and it can cool down or rain. Always take 1 fleece sweater and rain gear with you. A raincoat can also be used to block the wind when it gets colder.
Tough journey
This trip is fairly easy, but the heat may make it a bit more difficult for some. The routes are largely on road with some unpaved areas, but are not difficult.
Mechanic
The local guide is also a mechanic and has tools with him.
Health
There is much uncertainty about malaria. Consult your doctor or travel clinic for correct advice. This person can advise you whether you should take malaria pills (usually Malarone) for this trip, they can also assess whether this is possible in combination with any personal medicines. Diarrhea can easily occur due to the heat in combination with another type of food. The diarrhea often disappears after a few days and can also be suppressed by, for example, Imodium. If the diarrhea persists for a longer period of time, local doctors have various means to treat it. If you are dependent on medication or illness, you should check this with your doctor in advance. He can assess whether this will have any adverse consequences for the journey to be made. You must also inform CULTURE RIDES in advance about this.
Flexibility
CULTURE RIDES tries to manage the trip as best as possible, however, situations may arise where flexibility is expected from the participants. There may be engine trouble or the planned route may be temporarily unavailable due to construction work.
Traffic
Riding in Asia is different from riding in Western countries. You will be informed about this in detail in the briefing.
Money
You can use your debit card at most places we visit, but you must have unblocked your card in advance.
Electricity
For Indonesia you can simply use your 220 volt plug.
